The Beyond Compliance Network is dedicated to providing a safe, friendly, generative, and welcoming environment for anyone who participates in our convenings. Anyone who takes part in community events, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, culture, or religion or beliefs, deserves an inclusive and harassment-free environment. We believe that a diversity of views, expertise, opinions, backgrounds, and experiences of all attendees will make our community stronger and more generative.
To this end, we expect participants to respect others and their ideas. Please refer to our Community Guidelines (below) for further guidance on positive interactions.
The following behaviors will not be tolerated:
For more information about what constitutes harassment, please refer to the Gathering for Open Source Hardware’s examples of behavior. Anyone requested to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. Procedures and options for reporting violations will be prominently available throughout the event.
We reserve the right to take any action deemed necessary and appropriate in response to any incident of unacceptable behavior. This may include immediate removal from the event or event site without warning. We reserve the right to prohibit attendance at any future event, either online or in person, that is run or co-led by the network.
Here are some tips for positive and generative interactions. Ultimately we are all stewards of this time and space together. Please respect the valuable time that you and your colleagues have dedicated to these interactions and show up ready to engage and participate.
